GRAND SLAM PADEL SHOW

GoAcademy in Agno played host to an extraordinary event, welcoming the Swiss leg of the Grand Slam Padel Show on January 28. One of the most anticipated stops on the traveling circuit, the event brings together sport, entertainment, and some of the biggest names in Italian football. For two days, our courts were transformed into a true stage, attracting spectators, padel enthusiasts, and visitors from all over Ticino.

Created by the Conti family, the format saw more than thirty former professional footballers take to the court—icons of Serie A and the Italian national team—ready to test themselves with racket and ball. Among the most recognizable names were Totti, Vieri, Toni, Candela, Di Biagio, Amoruso, Cerci, Locatelli, Perotti, Denis, Pesce, Giannichedda, Fiore, and many others, all warmly welcomed by an enthusiastic crowd.

The tournament delivered intense and spectacular matches, confirming padel as a sport that perfectly blends competition and entertainment. Match after match unfolded in a spirit of fair play, culminating in a high-level final that kept spectators on the edge of their seats until the very last point.

But the Grand Slam Padel Show was about more than just sport. The event turned into a true celebration, where direct interaction with the players, laughter, photos, and shared moments made the experience truly unique. A blend of football nostalgia and passion for padel that captivated both adults and children, further confirming the success of this format beyond Italy’s borders.

For GoAcademy, hosting an event of this caliber was a source of great pride—an opportunity to showcase padel while strengthening our role as a key venue for high-profile sporting events.
